Pues si, chicos, después de una larga espera, por fÃn ha salido 
oficialmente la noticia que llevábamos tanto tiempo deseando daros: ¡Stallion saldrá en España durante el próximo Salón del Manga de Barcelona! Half Baked divx (1 al 4 de Noviembre) y será publicado por la editorial Ivrea en un tomo autoconclusivo junto con dos historias cortas que también hicimos para Yaoi Press: Eien (que quizá algunos recordarán de la difunta revista YaoiZone) y Special Treatment
. Tendrá el mismo formato y precio que Saihôshi, B6 con sobrecubiertas, 8€.

Como la vez anterior, el anuncio oficial nos pilló por sorpresa al entrar en varios portales y blogs de visita habitual. Como siempre, queremos agradeceros a todos el enorme apoyo que nos habéis dado, y a todos los que se han interesado por nuestros trabajos. :) De hecho, hace tiempo hicimos una tira
tras la salida de Saihôshi y, ya que la historia se repite, aprovechamos para dedicárosla.
Os recordamos que la licencia de Stallion ha sido posible gracias por un lado a Yaoi Press Spread Cass hd
, la editorial que lo publicó en EEUU y que posee los derechos de la obra en todos los idiomas, y por otro a Ivrea, que de nuevo ha apostado por nosotras.
Ya puestos, queremos aclarar algo que se dice habitualmente y que no siempre es completamente cierto. Hablamos de la famosa frase “los españoles tenemos que publicar fuera para que se nos reconozca aquÔ. En nuestro caso, nosotras podrÃamos estar publicando en España, al igual que muchos otros autores… Pero llega un momento en la vida en el que hay que ser realistas y entender que los humanos no vivimos del aire, que para hacer 160 páginas cada 6~12 meses hay que renunciar a todo, pasarse dia tras dia dibujando y es imposible compaginarlo con trabajos “normales” de 8 horas diarias. Por eso es en mercados extranjeros (como EEUU o Francia) que gozan de una mayor cultura de cómic dónde la mayorÃa de editoriales pueden permitirse pagar lo suficiente a un autor para que éste pueda dedicarse por completo a sus obras. Por el momento, nuestro mercado aún está en ello, y aunque hay editoriales que se están abriendo a lo nacional, las condiciones todavÃa son demasiado precarias para poder mantenerse como profesional. Sin embargo, nosotras no nos olvidamos de vosotros, y por eso hacemos lo posible para que nuestros trabajos sean licenciados aquÃ.
Bueno, pues nos despedimos no sin antes mencionar que, por supuesto, durante el próximo Salón habrá sesiones de firmas
y puede que alguna cosilla más. Ya daremos más información cuando tengamos fechas y datos concretos.

≡ Saihôshi in Netcomics
August 11th, 2007 | Archive: newsWe Were Soldiers dvd First it was Stallion, now our other work Saihôshi has also been released in Netcomics
site. The version uploaded is the “compilation”, with the complete story (vol.1 + vol.2, without the extra stories) and a new cover (the one featured in netcomics), which will be released in USA by Yaoi Press next November.

, ahora es nuestro otro trabajo Saihôshi el que ha aparecido en la web de Netcomics. La versión que han subido es la “recopilación”, es decir, el tomo completo (vol.1 + vol.2, sin historias extra) con una nueva portada (la que se muestra en Netcomics), que aparecerá en noviembre michael jackson this is it en EEUU de la mano de Yaoi Press.
The Illustrated Man move Os recordamos que la historia ya fue publicada completa y en un sólo tomo en España por Ivrea, y en Polonia por Kasen. Sin embargo, es la primera vez que aparecerá de esa forma en EEUU. :)

We went to Los Angeles before the con and slept at Kathy and Chrissy’s house (our lovely friends -and twins- ^^). In the first day, we went to visit Hollywood and surroundings by ourselves…
Universal Studios.
All the shops and restaurants were so appealing! (Although many were closed, since they open around 10-11 am! O_o)
Hollywood!
We wanted to visit a comics shop, so we walked a mile under the sun. There were thousands of comic-books to see.
At afternoon, we went to visit TOKYOPOP’s headquarters. It was located in the biggest building around.
Alexis (our editor) and Kathy took us on a “tour”, visiting all the departments. We were thrilled and felt shy at the beginning, so our pics were fast and blurry… But after a while we were wandering by ourselves, feeling part of it. We met Felipe Smith, creator of MBQ, one of our favorite OELs! We had an interesting chat in Spanish and saw some previews of his third book.
Hehe, small teaser of our OWN work. ^^ Alexis was explaining us a few things about the designer’s work with the “not final” cover. It was great, we were introduced to some of the people involved in making our humble work look cool and actually printable.
Wednesday evening, Alexis and Kathy drove us in their car to San Diego. We arrived three hours later or so. We had dinner with them at an oriental restaurant, and then went to sleep at the Holyday Inn, hotel offered to us by Yaoi Press’ editor.
The following morning was our first day at the con…
