Mañana jueves asistiremos a las jornadas de Cómic de la Escuela de Arte 10, donde participaremos en la charla “Manga con Ñ” junto al colega Kenny Ruiz, a las 19:00 horas.

Hi dear friends! Long time no see, huh? We are really busy finishing the first book of our series, which will be published next July by TOKYOPOP. But between deadlines we found some time last January to visit the French comics festival in Angoulême.
We met many artists there, and saw again some folks we already know, like Yishan Li and Ken Niimura. It was exhausting, but a very nice experience. Once you have been there you realize the largeness of the comics industry (so many series being published!), and how small at the same time (it seems we always find the same faces even in the most different places, he he).
The long hours spent at the famous Le Chat Noir café chatting with some kick ass professional French comics artists made us remember how long is the way of an artist, how much we have to improve yet and that, in the end, most of the artists have the same worries, and also the same bad habits ^^U.
We also visited Paris, the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, Versailles and the Louvre Museum. *_*
To sum up, this trip gave us a different perspective and encouraged us to improve our work each day. :D

Hola amigos! Mucho tiempo sin leernos, ¿eh? Estamos a saco terminando el primer tomo de nuestra serie, que será publicado por TOKYOPOP el próximo julio. Pero entre fechas de entrega, el pasado enero encontramos un huequecito para ir a visitar el festival de Angoulême.
Allí conocimos a muchos dibujantes y nos reencontramos con otros colegas como Yishan Li y Ken Niimura. Fue agotador, pero también una gran experiencia. Una vez has estado allí, te das cuenta de lo grande que es realmente la industria del cómic (¡tantas series publicadas!), y lo pequeño que es al mismo tiempo (siempre nos encontramos los mismos en diferentes sitios, jaja). Las largas charlas en el famoso café Le Chat Noir con algunos peazo profesionales de la BD francesa nos sirvieron para recordar lo largo que es el camino de un dibujante, lo mucho que tenemos que mejorar y que, en el fondo, la mayoría de los dibujantes tenemos las mismas inquietudes, e incluso las mismas malas costumbres ^^U.
También visitamos Paris, la torre Eiffel, Notre-Dame, Versalles y el museo del Louvre. *_*
En resumidas cuentas, este viaje nos ha dado una perspectiva diferente y nos ha cargado de ánimos para seguir intentando mejorar dia a dia. :D

In this art book you’ll find illustrations featuring our characters from Saihôshi, Stallion, Eien, Special Treatment and some new ones. None of them have been published before, they have been specially created for this art book. There are hot scenes, soft scenes, or simply bishonen pin-ups.
The book is around $12. It has 56 B&W illustrations and a tutorial explaining how was the cover done. The size is 11 x 8.5 inches.

En este artbook podréis encontrar ilustraciones y bocetos tanto de los personajes de Saihôshi como de Stallion, Eien, Special Treatment y algunas libres. Todas inéditas, especialmente hechas para este artbook, y su grado de yaoi es variado. Encontraréis tanto escenas picantonas (ahí pillados con las manos en la masa), como escenas suaves (mimitos, besitos, abracitos, etc…) o simples pin-ups de bishonen.
Para más info el libro cuesta unos 12$, tiene 56 ilustraciones en b&N y un tutorial de cómo se hizo la portada paso a paso. Su tamaño es de unos 23 cm x 29 cm (aproximado al A4).
Today in Mision Tokyo (a manganime news portal) appeared this announcement. It’s supposed to be a self-conclusive self-parody book about the publishing company Ivrea (the ones who licensed Saihôshi and Stallion in Spain -and Argentina for Saihôshi-) by a local artist, Dac. It will mention Ivrea’s new offshoot in Finland, and their “shoujo ecchi” and “boobs & punches” books for teens, among other jokes. The title is Ivrellion, guess why. XD
