We’ve received a box full of Reflections artbooks and Saihôshi Omnibus. So they are back in stock in our Kosenshop (yes, we do have an online shop with many interesting thingies). / Hemos recibido una caja llena de Reflections y de Saihôshi Omnibus. For those who don’t know what we’re talking about. Reflections is our yaoi artbook, published by Yaoi Press in 2008. This book is only sold in USA, so we order them to the publisher to sell them at a good price for those who can’t buy it there. / Para aquellos que no sepan de que hablamos. Reflections es nuestro libro de ilustraciones yaoi, publicado por Yaoi Press en el año 2008. Este libro solo se vende en EEUU, de manera que para facilitarle las cosas a aquellas personas que no pueden comprarlo allí, nosotras lo encargamos a la editorial y lo traemos a España dejándolo a buen precio.

Saihôshi Omnibus is a special edition by Yaoi Press of Saihôshi, The Guardian; it includes color illustrations, sketches and character designs. / Saihôshi Omnibus es una edición especial de Saihôshi, El Guardián que incluye ilustraciones a color, bocetos y diseños de personajes. Eso sí, cuidado, está en inglés.

You don’t need to write as if you were a professional reviewer. It’s fine enough that you recommend the novel with a short text, providing a link to the Saihôshi website. You can say your opinion or that you’re reading it. You can also copy and paste the series information that you can find in our Info. Do as you like! ^^ / No hace falta que sea una reseña en toda regla como si fueras un crítico literario. Basta con que recomiendes la novela públicamente poniendo un enlace a la web de Saihôshi. Si quieres puedes decir tu opinión o tan sólo que te lo estás leyendo. También puedes copiar y pegar la información de la serie que aparece en la sección info. ¡Como gustes! ^^
2 – I’ve read the tutorials, but I don’t quite get how to do animations right. / Me he mirado los tutoriales pero no me sale eso de hacer animaciones.
Don’t worry. The banner for the contest can be a static image too. / No te preocupes. La banner no tiene porque ser animada. Basta con coger una imagen, ponerle el logo y el lema encima. Así de sencillo.
3 – What’s the “motto”? / ¿Qué es eso del “lema”?
We mean a slogan, a catchy phrase like those you see everyday in commercials. Of course you don’t need to have studied a marketing career for that. If you can’t think about anything serious enough, you can put some pun or joke. / Con “lema” nos referimos a un slogan, una frase publicitaria. Claro que no es necesario que hayas estudiado publicidad para esto. Si no se te ocurre nada serio, pon alguna chorrada simpática.
For example, the typical commercial ad: / Por ejemplo, puedes usar frases típicas de anuncio:
“100% drolling guarantee.” / “100% babeable. Garantizado.”
Or movie trailer style: / O de trailer de película:
“Two men and an obscure destiny…” / “Dos hombres y un oscuro destino…”
(If it was animated, then you can add the joke: “… to be yaoized!” / (Si fuera animada luego se podría añadir la coña: “¡Ser yaoizados!”

It was about time to run a contest. Since it’s too soon to do it about fanarts, we’ve decided to do it about stamps and banners based in Saihôshi. / Ya era hora de organizar un concurso. Como es pronto para hacerlo de fanarts, hemos decidido hacerlo de stamps y banners basados en Saihôshi.
Everyone knows what’s a banner, right? An advertising image used in Internet, for example: / Todo el mundo sabe lo que es una banner, ¿no? Por si acaso, una banner es una imagen publicitaria que se usa en Internet, como por ejemplo:
Regarding the stamps, they are something used in the art community DeviantArt, but basically it’s similar to a banner. An example would be this: / En cuanto a las stamps, es algo que se utiliza sobre todo en Deviantart (esa gigantesca comunidad de artistas) pero básicamente es parecido a una banner. Un ejemplo sería este:
In this contest, stamps and banners compete equally. To choose one or the other is solely the participant’s decision. / En este concurso, stamps y banners competirán por igual. Elegir una u otra es decisión del participante.

You can also upload an image to illustrate it. Then, send us the URL link so we can see it. / EXTENDER LA PALABRA:
Aquel que quiera participar deberá colgar una entrada sobre Saihôshi Redemption con un link a esta web en su blog, Deviantart, facebook, red social, o si no tenéis nada de esto, en un foro. Podéis subir alguna imagen para acompañar. Luego, pasadnos el link dónde lo habéis colgado.
Of course, this is shameless promotion, a favor we are asking you, but if you like Saihôshi it won’t hurt much, right? In fact, this step would do you good to do it, whether you participate in the contest or not. Why “would do you good”…? Because it’s healty. My, my, what a question. / Por supuesto, esto es promoción pura y dura, un favorcito que os pedimos, pero si os gusta Saihôshi no os dolerá. 2- DESIGN THE IMAGE (banner, stamp or both) respecting the size given and using any of the images in our Gallery. It can be animated or still. / CREAR LA IMAGEN (Banner, stamp o las dos) respetando el formato. Para la composición podéis usar cualquiera de las imágenes que hay colgadas en gallery. La imagen puede ser animada o no.

To make things easier, we’ve included some templates for your use. You can do as many as you want, there’s no limit. / Para facilitar las cosas, os dejamos unos “templates” (plantillas) que podéis descargaros y trabajar en ellos. Podéis hacer tantas como queráis, no hay limite de participaciones.

3- MOTTO: The image should include a motto of your choice. Here you can give free rein to your inventiveness and wit, or write whatever Saihôshi inspires you. You must also include the Saihôshi logo (download it here) / LEMA: la imagen debe incluir un lema, el que queráis. Aquí podéis dar rienda suelta a vuestro ingenio y simpatía, o poner lo que sea que os inspire Saihôshi. También debéis añadir el logo (podéis descargarlo aquí).
4- SHOW US. Once you have finished your banner or stamp, don’t send it us the image via email. You must upload it to your site (the same where you announced the contest) and send us the link URL. If you’ve fulfilled all the requisites, your participation will be uploaded in this website. / Una vez terminada vuestra banner o stamp, no nos la mandéis por mail. Debéis subirla a Internet, ya sea vuestra web, blog, Deviantart, livejournal, facebook o cualquier galería online de la que dispongáis y enviadnos el link. Si has cumplido los requisitos, tu participación será colgada en esta web.

El otro día estuvimos cotilleando un poco el Livestream de Noiry. Si no conocéis a esta dibujante llena de talento ya estáis tardando en ir a echar un vistazo a algunos de sus fabulosos dibujos en su Deviantart. / The other day we were having a look at Noiry’s Livestream session. If you don’t know this talented artist, you should have a look at her astonishing gallery at Deviantart.
El livestream es una especie de paintchat donde la gente que entra ve en directo lo que estás haciendo en tu ordenador y puede chatear contigo. Para darnos la bienvenida, pues era la primera vez que entrábamos, Noiry nos dedicó algo especial. / To welcome us, Noiry dedicated us something special.
Empezó a dibujar un Shen en pleno directo. *o* / She was started to draw our character: Shen. *o*
Y mientras Noiry dibujaba, chateábamos con ella. Más o menos así fue la cosa. / While she was drawing, we chatted with her. It was more or less like this.
Noiry: ¿Cómo lo véis? / What do you think of it?
Kôsen: Em ^^U… Tiene unas bonitas pestañas, no cabe duda, pero quizá es una expresión demasiado jovial para Shen. / Er ^^U… He really does have pretty eyelashes, no doubt about it, but maybe his facial expression it’s too cheerful for Shen.
Noiry: Entiendo… ¿Qué tal esta? / I see… How about this one?
Kôsen: Bueeeno… No es que esté mal pero… ¿Por qué no pruebas a darle un toque más perverso? / Weeell… It’s not that bad but… Why don’t you try giving him a wicked expression?

Fuera ya de bromas, la verdad es que nos reímos de lo lindo con los caretos que desfilaron por el pobre de Shen. Y lo mejor es que ahí quedo un esbozo muy prometedor que esperemos ver terminado algún día, ¿eh, Noiry? ^^ / No joke, the truth is we laughed a lot with the funny faces that she gave to the poor Shen. And the best part is that little sketch that maybe will be finished some day. Ok, Noiry? ^^
