What’s Saihôshi, The Guardian?

It’s a manga-style comic that was published first in USA in 2006 by Yaoi Press. Later it’s been licensed in the following countries:
Spain and Argentina (Editorial Ivrea), Italy (Free books), Germany (Wild side press), y Poland (Kasen Cómics).

How many books are there published of Saihôshi, The Guardian?

It depends on the country. In Spain, Argentina, Germany or Poland the story was published in a one-shot book.
On the other hand, in the first editions at USA and Italy, the story was divided in two books and filled in with extra stories from other artists.
In 2007 Yaoi Press published in USA a new edition in a single book with the complete story, and it was called Saihôshi Omnibus.

How can I know if the book I have has the complete story of Saihôshi, The Guardian?

Easy. Check how many pages of the Saihôshi story you find in your book. It must have around 150 pages. At the end there’s also a 3-pages bonus with the characters in cute chibi form explaining what happened a year later.
