It was about time to upload a comic strip, so we have made a new section: Saihôshi bloopers. Dedicated to those who miss the SDs and jokes. ;) / Ya era hora de subir alguna tira, así que estrenamos sección: Saihôshi bloopers (lo que vendrían a ser “las tomas falsas”). Sastre por Irene Roga

El primer fanart de la temporada corre a cargo de Irene Roga. Un Sastre descamisao y sudoroso después de pasar la mañana cortando leña.



Qué suerte ha tenido nuestro Sastre de caer en los lápices de esta dibujante, por que hace unos maromos de muy buen ver (no tenéis más que echar un vistazo a su Orelan). ^_^

Ya tenéis disponible el segundo capítulo. Esta vez, para facilitaros la lectura hemos probado a ponerle un fondo un poco más oscuro. Proximamente colgaremos una encuesta para que podáis votar si os es más cómodo así o no.

Tenemos que aclarar (para algunos despistados) que Saihôshi Redemption no es un anime, es una novela. Estas imágenes son sólo ilustraciones que hacemos para promocionar la serie y, ¿por qué no? También porque nos gusta ver como quedarían algunas escenas si fuera una animación ^^U

Si no surgen imprevistos subiremos un capítulo nuevo todos los viernes. Pero recordad que la web la actualizamos a diario así que os queremos ver por aquí todos los días sin falta. Pasaremos lista ;P

EDIT: Uy, ¿puse “a diario”? Quería decir: “todos los días de diario”. Los fines de semana mejor los dejamos para descansar y poder seguir escribiendo. Y es que esos capítulos no se van a escribir solos ^^U

Sastre tiene nueve añitos / Sastre is nine years old

Como lo oís (o leéis ^^), Saihôshi fue un proyecto que se ideó en el 2001. Originalmente lo creamos para la difunta revista YaoiZone y se publicó con el título de “The Guardian” . / Saihôshi was a project conceived in 2001 for the Spanish magazine YaoiZone. It was called The Guardian.

Estas eran las pintas que tenía Sastre por aquel entonces. / In those days, Sastre looked like this.



El primer diseño. Ya entonces decidimos que iría enseñando ombligo. / In his first concept, he was showing his belly button, too.



Apenas acaba de arrancar la historia, la revista cerró y nos quedamos con las ganas de terminarla. No fue hasta el 2004 que nos surgió la oportunidad de hacerlo. Kasen, una editorial polaca se interesó por el proyecto y volvimos a retomar a Sastre y cia. / The magazine was closed and the story was left unfinished. In 2004, a Polish publisher became interested in the story and we took up Sastre and the rest once again.

Esto fue lo que surgió al dibujarlo de nuevo, tres años después. / This is the concept that came out when we drew him three years later.



Pero este diseño no nos terminaba de convencer. Sobre todo el pelo de Sastre, era muy soso. Así que hicimos otra versión. / But we weren’t satisfied with this design, it was too dull, so we drew another version.



Y por primera vez, le coloreamos decentemente. / And for the first time we colored him properly.



En el 2005, cuatro años después de haber dibujado aquellas páginas para la YaoiZone, las redibujamos por completo. / In 2005, four years after those first pages for YaoiZone, we drew the story again from the beginning.



Sin embargo, Saihôshi no se publicó hasta el 2006 de la mano de Yaoi Press. Para entonces Sastre tenía este aspecto. / Eventhough, Saihôshi wasn’t published until 2006, when Yaoi Press published it. In those days, Sastre had this look.



Y ha seguido más o menos igual hasta ahora que ha estrenado nuevo look para Saihôshi Redemption. / And he has remained like that until Saihôshi Redemption, here you can see him new look.

Más de tres años han pasado desde que la historia de Saihôshi, El Guardián viera la luz. La idea de hacer una secuela surgió casi al principio y se avivó al ver la buena acogida que tuvo el manga. Desde entonces, hemos querido llevar esa idea a cabo pero la oportunidad parecía querer rehuirnos. Por fin, tras muchas complicaciones, reflexiones y preparativos, nos hemos salido con la nuestra. >:)

Os damos la bienvenida a www.saihoshi.com, donde semanalmente iremos colgando los capítulos de Saihôshi Redemption.

Esta secuela cuenta con dos grandes ventajas: una que es gratuita, y dos que no necesitas haber leído Saihôshi, El Guardián para comprenderla. Y, además, viene cargada de sorpresas, siendo la más importante el hecho de que no es en formato manga, sino que es una novela.

Han sido muchos los motivos por los cuales hemos decidido hacerlo de esta manera y, gracias a esa decisión, Saihôshi Redemption es una realidad que podemos compartir con vosotros en lugar de ser otro proyecto esperando en un cajón la oportunidad de ser publicado.

Pero que nadie se apene, esta continuación escrita vendrá aderezada con multitud de ilustraciones, diseños de personajes, tiras cómicas, bocetos e incluso cómics cortos basados en escenas de la novela… Todo eso y mucho más se irá subiendo a esta web diariamente.

Hemos invertido mucho tiempo y esfuerzo en este proyecto así que deseamos de todo corazón que os guste y podamos contar con vuestro apoyo. No dudéis en hablarle de esta web a quien creáis que le pueda interesar.

Y ya está bien de preámbulos, os invitamos a dar una vuelta por la web y, por supuesto, a leer el primer capítulo. Y después no te cortes en comentarnos qué te ha parecido. ;)

The Redemption begins.

It’s been three years since the story of Saihôshi, The Guardian was released. The idea of making a sequel was in our minds almost from the beginning, after seeing the good response of readers to the manga. Since then, we’ve been wanting to make the idea of the sequel come true, but it never seemed a good moment. Now, after many troubles, thoughts and preparations, we’ve finally gotten our own way. >:)

Welcome to www.saihoshi.com, where we’ll be announcing weekly the release of the chapters of Saihôshi Redemption.

This sequel will be prose instead of manga, and you don’t need to have read Saihôshi, The Guardian to enjoy the story.

But don’t be sad, this sequel will be livened up with with tons of pictures, character designs, comic strip gags, sketches and even short comics based in scenes from the novel… All of this and much more will be uploaded daily.

The English version of Redemption will be available for purchase through the site Yaoi Prose. The reason why the English version is not for free is because it needs to go through a translation and adaptation process that must be paid. In addition to that, each English chapter includes exclusive images drawn by us. So you’re not only paying for the high-quality translation, but also to have access to those images.

Eventhough, the first chapter will be free and will be available in a few days. We will announce it as soon as it’s ready, so stay tuned ;)
